Any benifit of having a ford fleet # for pricing

My company has a ford fleet # (i think over 20 vehicles registered) And I was wondering if anyone knows what, if any, special pricing you recieve for having this ford fleet #. We have been buying all our truck 2-4 year @ $500 over invoice. This price is on a dealer locate or off the floor.

Re: Any benifit of having a ford fleet # for pricing

I ordered my F350 CC (diesel, suto, all the stuff) through the fleet dept. here at a local dealer who sold the truck at dealer invoice. Addtionally, when I title it under my business name, I saved the $289 dealer handling that most dealers add to the price. If you go down and talk to the fleet manager at your FORD dealership, it should work for you also. Maybe I should post what Imordered and the cost to compare for others to see. Might help out on getting a good price.

We always order through the fleet dept. but it seems that anyone can buy for $500 over invoice. I was wondering why we went through the trouble of registering with fleet Ford for our "special fleet #"

Re: Any benifit of having a ford fleet # for pricing

All it takes for a fleet number is 5 registared vehicles. However the discounts and pricing vary. Sometimes straight retail gets a better rate than fleet also who gets what first. Just depends on what Ford corperate wants at the time. they might be wanting to get the straight retail numbers up. I've learned this from buying 15 to 20 trucks a year

Re: Any benifit of having a ford fleet # for pricing

Again, Thanks for the Great forum, My company buys about 2-4 new trucks a year always from the same (very good) dealer. We usually buy on a dealer locate, where they find our corectly spect truck then pick it up. We pay about 500 over invoice. for example I am picking up a 2001 XLT,red, crew cab,PSD 4x4 auto, shift on the fly, off road Campper package... list 40735 with destination. My price is $36,662 then I get 500 back from factory. Is it better to order on a fleet # truck. or are we doing it corect. I belive my fleet guy said the fleet money is only $200 back.
Thanks again for the help.

Jerry Krug,

Cochise here. Get with Bobby, he could/would help you with any question you my have with your "Fleet" purchases. There are several veritables involved in "Fleet Deals" I'm not sure of California's in's and out's.

I would love to have your business, Bobby is on the "Left Coast", so he would be more able to help.

Bobby is at bobby@sunrisefordfleet.com

jerry krug,

If you are buying superduties with a FIN code there are a few benefits here in CA. If you are buying a Chassis Cab you are better off taking the $1,000 upfitting rebate, if you are buy a regular pickup there is $865.00 Total off invoice Incentive that the dealer will get if they apply for 56m. This does not matter if you buy out of stock or order

If you are paying $500 over invoice the dealer is making a nice little profit. Lets see: $865+$500+$Holdback minumum of about $2,200 not bad.

As someone said before, "The SERVICE given to the customer is the main concern, NOT price." If you are happy with them so be it, if you would like to save a few hundred dollars or so, give me a call and I would be more than happy to quote you on future vehicles.
