Any Chance on Power Slider Rear Window with 03 engine?

OK as we all have heard, the revised 6.0 was supposed to begin being installed on 9/29. Here's my question:

I ordered one with the power sliding rear window and it was on hold until 9/29. Is there any chance that I could end up with the PSRW and an 03 6.0 or do you think they made both major changes at once, i.e. began installing the PSRWs and the revised 6.0.

Last week, my salesman called and said my estimated delivery date was 10/20/03 but he did not have a build date available. Does that mean it had not been built yet? Sorry just curious as to which engine I will be getting. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Marty

1FASTZ!!!!

If your dealer has a delivery date, seems to me he should have the week your truck will be manufactured. They kind of to go hand in hand.

That's kind of what I was thinking, but then again, what do I know ?

Guess I'll have to bug him some more to get some more info.

Check with your dealer again. He should have an Order # for your truck, that is assigned by Ford when it is ordered. He should be able to track the progress of your truck as it goes thru the stages of manufacture.

Re: Any Chance on Power Slider Rear Window with 03 engine?

Actually, if you have your VIN number, you can bypass the dealer and find the information out yourself by calling FORD, which is what I did. I got a VIN number the following Monday from the dealer(ordered wednesday..week before). At the time, this is all the information they had on the vehicle. So I waited a few days and did a search within this forum on VIN tracking or Vehicle tracking(Ford Customer Relationship Center (CRC) at 1-800-392-3673). I found a phone number to the customer service department. From there I just kept pushing the buttons till I got an actual person on the phone. She was the MOST helpful and polite person. Anyway, I asked if I could find out the status of the truck that I had ordered. She said sure, do you have your order number of VIN. Yep, read that off and she was able to tell me that my truck is scheduled the week of Oct. 20th, and should be delivered first part of November to the dealer or sooner depending on the actual day that it would be built. So far, I have not heard anything from my dealer, but that is okay for now. She even told me to feel free and call back towards the end of the month to see what the status was...10-4 on that one!! If you get the new stuff, be sure and share with the rest of the class!!
