Any idea when 07 s may be released

I have a big decision to make I almost ordered a new 06 6.0 then seen on the boards there are going to be changes in 07
have seen several different posts as to when they may be released but no positive proof!
I guess when you are spending this kind of cash (or atleast for me) you wonder if you should wait or get it now?

Would any of you have a rough idea when they may release this beast and will the wait be worthit over the 06????

I guess this is a loaded ? But would appreciate any info

Thought about getting the 06 now then getting the new model after it is out a couple years But I would loose my hiner on a trade.

Re: Any idea when 07 s may be released

I think they will be out in the early spring or summer of 06, but thats just speculating. What do you want to do? If you want a new truck then go ahead and get it, and in a couple of years when the new body style and new engine proofs itself, then trade up. To many people worry about loosing money on trade in, when you drive a vehicle a couple of years you can't expect to get a new price for it back. The superduty is going to bring you a better trade in anyway than most other vehicles.

Engine production is scheduled for July/August of '06, with the first trucks to be produced around October.

Why is Ford killing themselves by starting production so late? In a normal year they start production around mid July. The '04 F-150 started production in spring '03.

The Superduty is one of the most profitable vehicles Ford makes, so why are they delaying the redesign? A lot of people are going to skip the 2006 and wait until the 2007.

Fleet buyers probably won't care about 2006 versus 2007, but most everyone else will.

Re: Any idea when 07 s may be released

If I remember my timeline right, the first of the MY99 trucks were at the dealers in February of 98. BUT, there was no MY98 F250HD/F350. So there was a gap in production from the middle of 1997 to early 1998. This was used to retool KTP to begin the new (and quite radical) changes in production models.

Given the timeline presented above, methinks this change will be more of an evolutionary than revolutionary change. They don't have enough time to switch out all the tooling in a few weeks.
