Any info on "Built Tough" package? - Diesel Forum

This is a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone has seen or even better, if someone can post a photo of a truck with the "Built Tough" package. It sounds like something I would be interested in. How bout' it dealers?

Austin -- Are you referring to the regional "Tough Value XLT" and "Built Loaded Lariat" packages? If so, these are not appearance packages. The "Tough Value XLT" (option code B3X) consists of Sliding Rear Window, Privacy Glass, Advanced Security Group and Limited Slip Rear Axle. The "Built Loaded Lariat" (option code B3L) consists of Power Trailer Tow Mirrors, Trailer Hitch Receiver and CDX6 radio. Both packages are "No Charge" and are available on 2002 Regular Cab and Super Cab F250/F350 pickups with either the 6.8L V10 or 7.3L V8 Diesel. Crew Cabs are not eligible for these discounted packages. Packages are further restricted to customers in the Atlanta, Memphis, Southwest, Denver, California, Northwest and Twin Cities regions.

I don't think that's what I'm after. This truck was in a Ford press release on their website, and other Ford enthusiast sites that I go to. Like my previous post, one member was correct: It was released at the Texas Fair with other new for '02 models and called a "Built Ford Tough" package. All black truck with special interior and black bumpers. Sounds cool, but I can't get any info on it.

I saw something on it in one of my ordering guides. It is Tough Built or Built Tough can't remember which. Monochrome paint and carpet delete are the things that caught my attention. I will look for more info.
