Anyone see or know anything about the 40/20/40 seats....

I'm simply curious as to something I've yet to see - anywhere.

I have already ordered a 2008 F350 Lariat 6.4 and manual 6 (among other boring and expensive details). What I would be tickled to see is the seating situation - there are no pictures that I can locate concerning the 40/20/40 leather seats that are the ONLY option with a 6-speed.

Does anyone know what this elusive and rarely seen creature looks like? Does it have a fold-down armrest with cupholders, simple armrest, or what? Does the center section have a back rest, or open?

I'm on a mission to search for proof that this actually does exist, and is not a figment of the imagination. Please help the cause - even grainy video taken while running away from the 40/20/40 would at least be a start...

Re: Anyone see or know anything about the 40/20/40 seats....

A couple of weeks ago, I saw a CC XL with an auto that had the bench seats, and the front center seat/console was folded down and looked exactly like the console in my 04. The doors were locked, so I couldn't try it out. The rear seat was folded up, but it looked like it also had a console that folds down. Hope this helps.....

Thanks for the info... I was assuming it was as you said, but you know what can happen when one assumes anything.

Like I said, this here is one elusive critter. To my knowledge, it has never been photographed in the wild.

Re: Anyone see or know anything about the 40/20/40 seats....

The local lot got in a 350 crew cab lariat with the 40/20/40 bench. I didn't get the keys for it but looking at it through the window it looked like the exact same bench as I have in my 07. It was a automatic fully loaded with navigation, sunroof, all the toys. Personally I prefer the bench over the console w/ captains chairs. I still haven't seen a 08 with a manual tranny.

Re: Anyone see or know anything about the 40/20/40 seats....

I saw the 40/20/40 in a Med Blue Perl Metalic/Silver Lariat with the Med Stone leather seats.

Basically the seats are almost 98% the same as last year, sew pattern is slightly different, but not by much. I think the center section is a 100% match to last years model.

The dash does stick out a little more than last year; but it sill not a problem. I actually sat in the middle position, and I am 6'. Your knees go so high up in the air - because the floor is "high". Your legs do not touch the dash. Guess there was about 4" space in front of my legs. Still that chair is really made for a small kid. No one likes to ride with their knees in their chin.
