App. arrival of 02

I was wondering if I ordered a 02 tomorrow, when could I expect to take delivery. I was told by my local dealer that it would be the end of September, no sooner. I was hoping early to mid August? I have been jerked around there before so I thought I would check a reliable source. Thanks in advance.

Re: App. arrival of 02

You can look in my signature for my order, build and delivery dates from last year. Job 1 at KTP wasn't until July 31 last year and this year it's July 16. There are too many variables to predict when your truck would arrive for sure, but early August would probably be wishful thinking, but I would bet it should arrive earlier than the end of September if you order tomorrow.
My suggestion, if you've been jerked around by your local dealer, is to order from Cochise. He'll keep you updated and informed all the way through the process.

You're probably a little late in ordering to expect to get the truck before late August. If you had ordered a few weeks ago from a dealer that has plenty of factory allocation to have your truck built early in the production cycle, then you might have received it by the middle of August.

Find a dealer that will tell you the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I know, they're sorta rare. But we have two that are advertisers on this website and they'll tell you the straight scoop or else....

Bobby Williams is in SoCal. Cochise Willis is in Houston. They both have the allocation to get you a truck built soon. And they both can get your truck delivered (drop shipped) to a Ford dealer near you, or you can go to their dealership and take delivery there - and save a couple hundred bucks.

Contact one of them and give him your specs. He'll tell you about when you can expect delivery - assuming there are no unknown glitches in the Ford assembly line that affects your truck. They both have already ordered dozens of 2002 models, so yours certainly won't be one of the first. But they may be able to get it delivered to you by late August or Early September.

Re: App. arrival of 02

Ordered my 2002 about 6 weeks ago. The "Estimated" date for mine is end of August. I wont start calling Cochise and harasing him till the end of September. My actual paperwork gives me a delivery date of "TBD". Talk about covering your butt.

We must have patience. I work in a manufacturing facility and I can assure you. What can happen, will.
