Is AQHA program 3766 compatible with Commercial connection (upfit)#3742? on a 2004 F 350 PSD , zip code region 03301? Last November I got both, $1000. for Upfit and $500. for being an AQHA member. Dealer ran a Vincent this A.M. and says both progams are not compatible now. Truck isn't due in till next week. Can someone clear this up for me? Rick- N.H. My VIN is 1FTSF31P94ED44942

That is correct, they are NOT compatible. If I recall correctly, they never have been. I, along with several other dealers, have made the mistake of giving both. The dealers ended up having to eat the $500.

I just purchased my O4 F-350 about a month ago and received the Commercial upfit program allowance ($1000.) and the AQHA $500. in addition to some other rebates and allowances. The salesman ran a SMART Vincent and printed out individual program requirement sheets for each program I thought I might be able to take advantage of. On each of those program requirement sheets it listed all the other program numbers it could be combined with and at least in area code 32570 AQHA and the Commercial were listed as compatible. I will look and see if I still have those sheets and post the exact wording used in the requirements.

Please check your records, I would love to get the right formula as your dealer applied in order to achieve AQHA and Commercial upfit rebates. I received both together last November on a 2004 F-550 as I mentioned in my original post. I will be taking delivery on my 2004 F-350 RC, XLT, PSD, 9900# G.V.W. sometime next week. So far, the current Vincent will not match the two. What's the difference with a "Smart Vincent" ? Regards, Rick- N.H. -area 03060/ dealer- 03301
I now have the information in front of me. This information was printed directly from the Ford "dealer connection" site by my dealer. The documents all say Smart Vincent and the term is actually listed in the URL. The program numbers you listed do not agree with the program numbers listed on the Smart Vincent, and that may be where some of the comfusion is coming in to play. I don't know if program numbers actually vary in different parts of the country or not. I will describe the paperwork printed by my dealer as best I can.
The dealer signed on to a password protected private dealer site provided by Ford, and after providing a Vin the dealer was able to print off an "Offer Selection" which lists all the programs available for that Vin on that day. Each program has its program number, name, Benefit, and end date. Next to each of these lines of program information there is a check box and the dealer can choose which programs he would like to print up Program Information (details) for. At the top of the detailed information pages listed for the AQHA program it is listed as program #03508, which matched the program number listed on the previously mentioned "Offer Selection" pages. At the top of the 2004 Ford Truck Commercial Connection detail pages it was listed as program #03578 which also matched up with the "Offer Selection" pages. The second printed page of the AQHA details pages has a section labeled "Compatibilities" with a sentence underneath stating "This program may be combined with the programs listed below:". Below that statement is a list of more than 180 compatible program numbers, including 3578 which is the 29004 Ford Truck Commercial Connection program.
At least on that day, for that VIN, in my zip code, there was no doubt that the two programs were compatible. The best advice I can give is to ask your dealer to go to the SmartVincent area of the dealer connection web site and print off the "Offer Welection" pages and allow you to determine what programs you might be qualified for and then have those individual program detail pages printed off to check for compatibility. My dealer was happy to do it and thanked me at the end of the deal saying that he had learned quite a bit about the programs that he was not aware of. These are programs that come out of Ford's pocket not the dealer's so it just allows the dealer to sweeten the deal with no "out of pocket" cost.
Sorry for the long post, but I did not know how to detail the process in a short note. If you have any more questions and are willing to risk having to wade through my response, please let me know.
John

bait_hauler -- The problem lies in the fact that the AQHA program changed effective 5/1/2004. The previous program (#3508) expired on 4/30/2004 and was compatible with the Commerical Connection program (#3742). The new AQHA program (#3766) is not compatible with the Commercial Connection program. Unfortunately, "Smart VINCENT" for both zip codes provided verifies this. Will-SD--- Thanks for clarifying this puzzle for me. Dealer did write Am Quarter Horse on my Sales Agreement as a benifit rebate to me when I ordered the truck on 4/15/04 and mentioned that I wouldn't receive anything less when the truck came in, probably more. I don't believe I'll receive AQHA in the end. Truck is in, but won't take delivery till next Sat. 5/22/04. What do you think?
