Aux Idle Control for an '08?

Does anyone know if you can get an Aux Idle Control Module in an '08? Did they even offer them in the '05-'07's? I have one in my '04 that I really like having.

Re: Aux Idle Control for an '08?

Near as I can tell, my 07 is the same as my 03: idle will pickup to 1000 rpm after startup when the temp is a certain level (seems like 30 or less). I have read here that it can be connected to the aux switches. Not sure if that is what you mean, but I hope to do that. Maybe wire the heated mirrors that way first...

Re: Aux Idle Control for an '08?

Beginning with '05 models, Ford built in the equivalent of the old AIC. It's now standard equipment, and the name is now SEIC (stationary elevated idle controller).

But you have to be an electronic wiring genius to follow the directions to hook it up. If you have the upfitter switches, it's not too hard. Without the upfitter switches, it's a bear.

From the Ford OASIS system back in '05:

2005 F/E-Series Stationary Elevated Idle Control (Idle Kicker):
The stationary eleveated idle control system has changed for the 2005 model year. An APCM "idle kicker" control will not work on 2005 trucks. Information on how to raise the idle available at https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas/non-html/Q108.pdf. Broadcast Message 3164

The first thread about this SEIC stuff is at click here. Read the whole thread or you'll miss 'portant poop.
