Big holdup on truck deliveries - Diesel Forum

My new SD along with hundreds of others are being held at the plant for some reason. No one seems to know why or they are not telling. Not enough trains, weather, scheduling problems, or whatever, it is not known. Maybe Bobby or Smokey can find out. My truck was built on 8/2 and was scheduled to be at my dealer here in Utah today, but has not even been gate released from the factory. I know of alot of others in the same boat, or train as it were. According to plant spies, the parking lots are full. I wonder if and when they finally release, if the trucks made first will be the last released. I'm getting a little impatient.

They had problems with the first JOB2 4X4's off the line which led to the shut down of KTP the week of 08/06/07 while they waited for new parts to fix the problem. My guess is your vehicle along with alot of other already built JOB2 SD's is now waiting for those same parts/repairs.

It is a possibility that Ford has not given the official go ahead to start shipping yet.

Ordering a truck is like building a house 'just 2 more weeks' is the phrase you get used to.

But also maybe there trying to get the Job 1's off the dealers lot..

You should have heard a dealer throwing trucks at me..He came way,way down..but I already ordered one I like and at the price I'm comfortable with..His was K more of options.. the economy isn't great right now I believe..

I want my truck.... I dont want trouble right out of the box..... so if they are checking it to make sure no problem thats ok.... but I would at least expect to have the same rebates or better that is in place right now.... and not hold up these trucks so they can less the rebates given out.... I have been a GM man all my life I would hate to start my new relationship with ford on a bad note..... my two cents

There is also a F-250 being tracked on BOF that was produced on 08/14 and he got the call yesterday that it was on the dealers lot.

I hate to be nagative, but when you check on www.blueoval.com and go through their vehicle tracking system, NO Job 2 trucks are moving. Word is that ALL the parking lots are full of Super Duties waiting to be shipped. I personally think it's Ford management holding them off the market so the Job 1's are sold off. This is really pi$$ing me off, and I'm sure that alot of other Ford fans that ordered a Job 2 truck feel the same way. This is alot of BS.

I think that's BS..
Ford isn't going to sit on tens of millions of dollars worth of trucks just to help clear out Joe-Blows sales lot..

If Bobby says their moving, their moving.
Don't forget, they just started building them a few days ago.
