"Build Week"

I asked this question as part of another thread here but I thought that I'd bump it up into it's own thread to see if I'd get an answer.

Does anyone know how sure a build week is? What I mean is, if I have a build week of 5/7/2007 will my truck for sure be built between Monday and Friday of that week? Or can it slip if some problem happens?

Thanks for any answers...
John

Re: "Build Week"

John, I just called a friend of mine whose third cousin empties the dumpsters at KTP, he told me in confidence that your truck is scheduled to be built tonight right after the keg party when the employees are allowed to let their kids run the line. It is a real cost savings to Ford, child labor/nonuniion rate, but they are only allowed to use the rejected parts that they can find scattered thoughout the plant on the floor and the pistons used as door stops, and whatever falls out of the dumpster. You would be suprised how well these kids can spray a door with a can of Krylon !!!!!
Just kidding, I bet your truck is being loaded on the rail car as we speak, unfortunately mislabled for delivery to Guam!

Re: "Build Week"

Bobby, that was really good of you to look up and give John the information that will make his week. We all are having anxiety attacks waiting for our new toys. If I did not have such loyalty(hopefully not misplaced)to my '04's salesman I would have bought from you. I respect how you do business. I try to buy local, plus the dealer has been real good in the past when I was left without my truck providing a free rental or a ride to the subway.
