Build Week of 5/7/07 has arrived

Well, the build week of 5/7/07 has finally arrived for my F-350, and now the wait begins to see when my actual date of production is. Skup and John, I know that you anxiously await news as well. Perhaps we can make it another 2+ weeks until we actually see our new rides.

Hope you guys are doing well....

Kevin

Re: Build Week of 5/7/07 has arrived

Lordy, I can't believe it is finally here! Let's see, ordered on Feb 23rd, only 74 days until today. I hope everything goes well, no glitches, have not heard of any holdups so far. I got to get my butt in gear and get the '04 ready to sell. Remove the toolbox, the fifth wheel hitch, clean her all up purty. Still going to be sad to see her go. I am looking forward to the much better turning radius, an improved ride, much improved interior with leather seats(a first for me), not looking forward to giving up 17-19 mpg on the highway my 250 gives me. I think at lunch I am going to watch the Ford video that shows production of the SuperDuty's and imagine that is my truck going down the assembly line.

Re: Build Week of 5/7/07 has arrived

I don't know what you guys are doing lately building these trucks, but the truck you built me in the beginning of April is one beauty. Thanks for paying so much attention to detail.

Worst problem I have had is an absolutely terrible rattle I had in the window on the driver's side. Sounded like the window was loose making a terribly irritating noise......

....Until I discovered it was a tape rule I had laid in the side pocket! Can't you guys make better pockets that won't let things rattle around? LOL.

Love my truck!

Have a nice day and thanks for the hard work.

Re: Build Week of 5/7/07 has arrived

Thanks fordKTPguy...I am hoping so too. This will be '08 #2 for me. #1 ordered in December, arrived April 5th, broke rocker arm and bent pushrod on April 6th. Dealer reordered on April 9th and told his rep what happened and #2 is being built this week, which is about 4 weeks exactly. I think I got pushed to the front of the line a little bit because of my problem.

I never was jacked out of shape though, at Ford or IH....things happen and this time they just happened to me. Could have been anybody or any brand of vehicle. This will be Ford pickup #6 for me in my lifetime, never ordered anything else. The only first for me with this is the automatic. It will take me several days to stop trying to stomp a hole in the floorboard and feel around for the gearshift....

You guys all do quality work and we appreciate the great vehicles that you produce. I just hope mine is produced in the next couple of days.....LOL

Re: Build Week of 5/7/07 has arrived

Hey fella's...

Back from Virginy and all bright eyed and bushy tailed!

I checked the Sunrise Ford site for my status today and I am also "Bucked" so the next step should be Produced and then of course a new wait begins! I cannot wait to get this all over with and have the new rig outside waiting for me every morning!

I do think it's purty dang funny that FordKTPGuy missed putting a part on y'alls trucks and not mine though!

Hope all is well,
John

I'm gonna give it a shot again tonight. Seems like posting around 7 or 8pm (central) works pretty well. If it wasn't built today there are only 2 more days left this week! That gives me a 1 in 3 shot, right?

John

Re: Build Week of 5/7/07 has arrived

I can say there is someone that has even less patience than me. I am going to hold off asking over on BON until Monday. Trying to juggle my own scheduling to be able to take time off when the truck arrives.

Re: Build Week of 5/7/07 has arrived

Ahhh...I will probably ask again tonight too. I was wanting to try and be ready for a Memorial Day trip, but if it comes in too awfully late, he will just have to leave it sit on it until I get back on Monday the 28th. I can't do my trip in the new one without some miles on it and it will take 2 days for the hitch and bedliner.

Oh Well....................

Kevin

Wow, it's gonna' be tight for you Kev. I hope she shows up early in the week so you can get some miles on her in time...hopefully it will since you're closer to KTP then either Skup or I.

I don't have any big trips planned since I just got back from VA...all I want to do is show it off to my family that'll be in town for my daughters Christening on the 3rd.
