Build week slid back, was 4/4 now 4/11

I ordered my truck on 2/17. F350 SWR. On 2/25 I got a partial VIN and scheduled build week of 4/4 in KY. I checked with the dealer today and my build date has slipped a week.

If anyone has a truck on order with a build week, can you check with your dealer and confirm build week? Just curious if this is common. Does the production week change often?

Of course, I'm really anxious to get one of those big chit eating grins you guys all talk about.

I had to order a second truck do to the first one came in missing a option. They placed the order on 2/22 and have a build week of 3/28. I hope they extend the cash back beyond 4/4. There may be somthing on your truck that is causing the delay. Your dealership should be able to find out where the hold up is. Steve

On the BlueOval News site they list the assembly plants doing overtime and the Kentucky Truck plant is one of the few doing overtime. F Series trucks must be selling well!

I've heard that elsewhere too.

Re: Build week slid back, was 4/4 now 4/11

Ordered the same truck as you on the same day and my build week is 4/11. I hope fuel prices are still high and sales are slow so the rebates and interest rates will still be as good or better than they are now.

Re: Build week slid back, was 4/4, then 4/11, now 4/25

Just got off the phone with the dealer. My build week has just slipped another 2 weeks What gives? When truck was originally ordered, it had a priority 10 allocation. Now it has a priority 7 allocation. As I understand it, this is a more urgent priority than when first ordered. Is this correct?

On order: F350, CC, SRW, 4x4, PSD/Auto, Lariat Luxury, most other options except no moon roof. Is anything in short supply or back order that would hold up production of a given truck?

To those with a truck on order, can you check your build week and see if it got pushed back? Please post up here with your status. I would like to know if its just my truck or if this is widespread.

Correct. 7 is a higher priority than 10.

10 is the highest priority a dealer can assign. The fact that your priority is now higher than 10 indicates that someone higher up the chain within Ford (at the region or zone office) has jumped on your case to try to get your order expedited.

My truck is still being built week of 3/28 and to dealer by week of 4/11. This was as of 2 days ago. Steve
