Came in today

Ordered my SD, SB, SC, PSD, Lariat, camper, tow, auto, LSD, 4X4, Black, SRW last Nov, 17, supposed to have arrived last week, came in today. Saw it five minutes after if was "delivered".

Waiting for them to put in a brake controller, una-goose ball, six prong triler hookup and lower the truck. The lowering issua has been a trauma for this dealership.

Next week it will go to an access. store for a Rhino grill guard, chrome wheel well inserts, Roll-N-Lock, new 285/75R16 BFG AT's mounted on Weld wheels are waiting in my garage.

Re: Came in today

Wait tell you get your hands on it. You can`t let go. I got to see mine unloaded off the transport. My daughter and I was going doun on of the main streets in the town I got it at and saw the transport comming from the other directin Their it was all by it`s self on the back of the transport. Did a fast turn around and flowed it to the dealership. New car Mang. had a hard time checking it in as I was checking it out also. Who makes the chrome wheel well inserts you are getting . The truck Eq place says they can`t get them for a DRW. Injoy you new truck as much as I do.

Re: Came in today

The wheel well inserts finish off the edge of the wheel wells. I've been into three different auto accesory places and all three had them, don't know the brand, but, next week, when I take the truck in to have them put on I'll let you know. I'm having trouble finding the wide chrome splash guards to run along the bottom of the truck. Someone on this forum had a picture of his black rig with them. I printed a picture and took it into the accessory place I'm using and they are looking into it. My favorite goody for the truck is a Rhino Sumatra grill guard with integrated step. Big thing. The BFG tires are nifty too.

Assuming the dealer gets the truck ready for pickup Friday, I have a maiden voyage all picked out. I'll take my wife to an old French restuarant haunt, about 120 miles off, should make for a good first evenin out.

Re: Came in today

Anyone thought of putting wheel opening trim from an Excursion? They're plastic and available in different colors.Front fender opening identical holes there to. Not to sure on rear fit. What tires came on it and what are you going to do with them?

Re: Came in today

I logged onto wwwchrome, didn't find what I wanted on their page but have a part number. I'll give them a call later today and see what they can come up with in the way of chrome for the bottom of my truck.

That's interesting about the Excursion parts. I suspect they will fit the front wheel wells, I wonder if the rear wells are the same size?
