It came in w/ the CACKLE, fix?

Picked my truck up on friday afternoon(7-1/2 weeks order to deliv.) it has the cackle.I read a thread somewhere about a fuel additive that quites this problem,does anybody know what to use and if it has any draw backs such as wear and tear?Second question ,is FO> MO> CO> working on some kind of fix for this problem in existing trucks.thanks for any info in advance

I used Stanadyne Lubricity Formula in my new truck from day one. No cackle!

I also picked up my 2000 f-350 friday.Checked everything out with the salesman engine sounded great.Not anymore it's knocking so loud it's ridiculus.How do they justify selling a truck for that much money knowing there is this problem?I guess I'll see what they say at the dealership about it.I also don't think we should have to add any type of additive or formula to the fuel.I hate to complain but I'm bummed, sure did like my 99 but I needed a rear seat for a little accident me and the wife have comming soon.
