Can anyone confirm 04 engine release?

Can anybody confirm the 9/29 release of the new 04 engines. Are they getting in the trucks???

Just picked up my 04 replacement, 04 truck with a 03 motor runs ok but not great, build date of 9-15-03. Hopefully it will get better.

Two Ford dealers in my area both confirmed the changes are in production now plus other members on this site have as well. Both were a little chagrinned that I knew about the changes before they did. One of the dealers I contacted talked to a high ranking Ford 6.0L marketing rep to get his information. I have enough confidence in this info that I placed an order for one today myself.

Have I seen one yet? No.

Last week I called KTP and spoke to a guy named Bruce Radicker. He is one of KTP's dealer liaisons which it seems the dealers do not use. Bruce told me the new "04" engines started going into the trucks Sunday night 9/28/03.

I too placed my order on 10/2/03 hoping my truck's delivery will coincide with a nice year end rebate.
