Can Anyone Help Find A Railcar? - Diesel Forum

Hi Everyone,

My dad ordered a 06 E-350 6L van about 10 weeks ago. Its been built almost 3 weeks ago and shipped out. The rail car number that the dealer got from Ford is TTGX982546. I've been trying to trace this rail car through CN and CP rail and both have said this rail car does not exsist. I've called the dealer back and they told me that it is the correct rail car number. The delivery date at the dealer was supposed to be on the 6th of November. Dad's been calling the dealer all week and they don't know where the van is. Can anyone let us know where the railcar is? Thanks for any help.

Thanks a lot for the information Cochise but it turns out that Ford gave the dealer the wrong rail car number. The dealer called dad early this morning and said they called a Ford rep to find out where the train is. The rep called them back with a new rail car number that was different from the one Ford gave them on their weekly report. I traced the new number through CP Rail and found out it arrived at the rail yard in Calgary at 9AM today. The dealer said that once its off the train they'll send someone to pick it up. If all goes well he should have it on Monday or Tuesday. Thanks again for your help.
