Caveat emptor

Although the price was right, O'Meara Ford's "service" is non-existent. The sweetness of low price has been replaced with the bitterness of poor quality.

I'm being told I'll have to wait until November for the repair on the recalled transmission or "take it elsewhere".

I advise anyone looking to buy a vehicle or with an order to do the same.

As the old knight in "The Last Crusade" said: "You chose poorly".
mea culpa.

Re: Caveat emptor

The transmission has been recalled by Ford (00B054).

There are ONLY about 16000 trucks effected.

This thread was started to advise/forewarn those that are in the market for a truck about my 'experience' with O'Meara Ford's service. There was a PSD owner and F-D.com member in June of this year that had some nightmarish dealings with their service department (do a search).

I wouldn't have taken the time to post except I had previously endorsed them (posts since edited).

In Denver, Stevinson or Phil Long would be much better choices, IMO.

Re: Caveat emptor

I don't know why you just don't go to John Elway Ford right there in Boulder. Their attitude can be a little short sometimes but there aren't too many diesel mechanics in the state that are better. I've heard Brighton is pretty good too.
