Change of heart?

I have been waiting for this truck since my buy back in late august. I had a supercrew. Loved the truck, just crap trans. When I ordered the 6.0, I was also under the impression that the incentives would still be in place, and why not? I am reading the latest financial reports and stock info and Ford and Chev have large inventories of unsold vehicles and still growing. The outlook for vehicle sales for next year is even worse! After all, the price of the one I ordered is well over 40k, the x plan helps,,, but still, I gotta make the payment. I am starting to think it ain't worth it since I really do not need this truck, a good 1/2 ton with a real trans will do. Chevy just upped their rebates today or yesterday, the silverado is now 3,000 back or 3.9 for 60 months. They do not exclude their deisel either. I have had 6 Ford trucks since 89, but I feel a change coming, that is unless of course, Fords changes something first.

Do what you gotta do.
I would wait until after the New Year and see if any incentives are offered then.

A Chevy for me?
What, are you kidding?
Keep the rebates GM. I won't be seen owning a ladies truck.

Re: Change of heart?

Hang in there MrHavasu, with us going into Iraq, unemployment rising, gas prices going up, Ford is going to have too add a little sugar to get people into the showrooms. They have to get rid of those trucks sitting on the lots. I would like to have a 6.0, I can wait until Ford gets hungry. Also the working man is going to go where the deals are. I believe Ford trucks are the best I don't mind running around in a puddle jumper till they offer incentives.

Re: Change of heart?

I feel the same way as you guys, I am sure that the incentives are on the way. Maybe I will wait it out a little longer, I still think the super duty is the best heavy truck out there. I just do not need to overpay for it. Max, got your truck yet? Talked to Bobby yesterday and he has not got his either.

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out! Good luck with your new Chevy piece of crap.

Well Mr "superdutyspv", maybe we could just use the door and hit you in the head with it instead. Its idiots like yourself that give these web boards bad raps.

Re: Change of heart?

That was very uncalled for. This gentleman is not the only one who has considered going to another name brand. I am sure we all have. I apologize on behalf of us here on the board for the remarks Mr. Havasu.

Obvious someone has some personality issues.

Terry,

What incentives are you waiting for, special APR? There are banks right now that have rates as low as 5.24% APR for 60 months, Arrowhead Credit Union for one. Bank of America and Wells Fargo are getting pretty aggressive also. I don't know if we get a special rate concession for our volume or not, but it's worth checking into with your local, I mean ordering dealer

Sure don't, and man is it tough. We've gotten in about a half dozen or so this last week, which I would bet they'll all be gone over the weekend, and the wait is killer!

Thanks for the referral on the construction insurance yesterday, we got it all wrapped up and it looks like they're gonna break ground on the new house on Monday. Jerry over there said he could beat your auto rates too, what's up with that? (JK)

Re: Change of heart?

Between X plan and the cheap interest we are all enjoying right now, this truck is still a good deal without incentives..
