Re: changing my order
[ QUOTE ]
Is it too late to remove the optional trailer hitch?
[/ QUOTE ]
Probably not. Depends on the status of the order when you call the dealerperson on Monday morning. If the order is not yet "locked", then the dealerperson can do a "change order" transaction and delete the hitch receiver option. If the order is locked, then the dealer is going to receive that truck with that option.
The receiver option cost you $150. Not exactly a disaster if the new truck has it and you have to pay for it. But I'll bet your order is not yet locked, so you can have that option deleted.
Surf to the '99-up FAQ and note the button for "during your order" on the top-left side of the screen. That includes the various status an order goes through, including "locked" status. "Locked in: When production is locked and NO changes can be made (normally 10 days to 2 weeks before scheduled date)."
On edit: That WillSD feller that posted while I was writing this helps to run a family-owned Ford store up in cold country, so you should pay attention to what he says.
