Chrome Package

Can somebody please tell me what the chrome package is and how does it look on these trucks, if you have any pictures I would love to see them. It does not show or say anything about this in the brochure but a truck that I am interested in has this option on it. Thanks, Mike

Re: Chrome Package

On the King Ranch you get 5" chrome steps, tow hooks, bed tiedowns, tailpipe, and the top part of the mirrors. On a Lariat you get a chrome billet grill and all of the above. You can see the King Ranch in my pictures. It's not real obvious or overdone in my opinion. Adds a nice touch.

Re: Chrome Package

Thanks guy's I appreciate it. How do you both like your trucks so far? I am still a little nervous coming back to Ford after the 6.0 fiasco. Mike

Re: Chrome Package

Mike,
I got rid of a 2005 with a 6.0 knock on wood but so far the 2005 was the best truck I have owned. My 2008 is the 7th powerstroke I have owned. So far the 2008 has done nothing but impress me. So far I have to say that Ford did something right. I pull a living quarter horse trailer that weighs in empty at about 10000. This new truck handles it great.
Just my 2 cents.
Jim

BTW, I love this truck and I've owned just about every style Super Duty from 1997 till today. I've also had two buy backs.

Re: Chrome Package

I traded in an '04 F-350 6.0 Dually on this truck. Never had any issues with the '04. This truck is much more refined, quieter, tighter, has an unbelievably short turning radius. Has a firm ride but not harsh. Engine has a different sound but still sounds like a diesel. Really like the backup camera and tailgate step. Just wish the King Ranch had the billet grill like the Lariat does.

The chrome around the lower part of the truck didn't come from Ford, right (where the two tone accent is normally found)? That's not listed in Ford's literature as part of the chrome package.

Looks nice though...
