Ford can keep the chrome step off of my XLT Sport if it would have delayed my production. It is one of the first things I am going to yank off the truck. Anyone want a brand new set cheap.
My truck is delayed because of this, with no tentative release date right now. Everything on my order has been locked in thus far, so I think Ford is running behind on orders. This doesnt say if it's for job 1 or job 2. Any's guess is my clue.

Now I shouldn't laugh, because I have been involved in manufacturing before and I know what a rat's net of interlocking problems it is... but it sure sounds like the folks responsible for procuring chrome steps weren't really clued in by marketing or anyone on how many *more* chrome steps they were going to need this year, what with them coming by default in things like the XLT Sport package. Looks obvious in retrospect, but easy to miss in the hustle to launch the new product....

$445.00? Where did this figure come out of? I was charged only $65.00 for my steps. I am going to wait a week. I don't think I have lost my place in production but it's just delayed from being built right now and when they have them in stock they will build by truck. My original date is 11/18, so who knows.

Chrome steps are $445 on an XLT, the standard ones are $370. The Lariat comes with the standard ones, so there is only a $75 charge for adding the chrome steps.
