Guys, my dealer can not find the 6.0 / 5 speed auto under conceps in his data bank.
Do you guys have the code number so I can give him (and me) a hand in processing my order?

You know, these guys are the largest volume Ford dealer in New York.. I'm kinda shakin' my head too...

If you think thats bad, you should have heard this guy from the local "country" style dealer I priced for the heck of it..
He's called me back a couple of times because he's forgotten what my truck was....

My deal is X-plan on the new one, with me trading in my current truck listed below Nov.1 and taking delivery when ever the LE shows up.
Arrival date doesn't matter because I do not drive my Ford in the winter up here.
Truck will have around 46K for mileage and the amount given will be 23K.
X-plan minus 23K is the short of it.

Yeah, a trade-in makes it tough. Unless you sell your trade-in yourself, then just order the new one without a trade-in.

Hey guys, after what I have been through there is NO reason to even think about buying a vehicle from your local dealer.

These three guys are pros and deserve all the business everyone here can send them.

All engine codes begin with 99. The 6.0L ends with P.

All tranny codes begin with 44. As Cochise so gratiously pointed out, the new 5-speed automagic ends with B. So 44B.

So Cochise's hint that the code was (P/B) was right. But sorta subtle, doncha think? [img]/ubbthreads/images/icons/confused.gif[/img]

The place that I am ordering my truck is roughly 30 miles away from me.
My local dealer wouldn't get a sniff of my business, no matter what the savings. No matter what the deal.

I have had great sales and service experiences from these guys. The only problem is that they are incredibly busy.
Get this,
62 sales people, five different service teams, and a dedicated truck shop with diesel techs who are pretty good. This is just the Ford store.
This guy owns two Ford stores, a Chevy, Chrysler, Dodge, Jaguar, Jeep, Kia, Lincoln, Mercury, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Oldsmobile, Plymouth, Saab, Saturn, Subaru and Toyota stores as well. All of this, and he returned my phone call twice to finish off my little drop in the bucket deal when the used vehicle guy and I were apart on figures for my trade.
Maybe the inventory control people had a bad day, but trust me, the dealership is far from inept.
It surprises me also that these guys couldn't get if figured out.
