color changes for '06?

Anybody know what new colors will be added for the '06 MY??

Ford is buying back my '04, but the order for the new truck has not been submited yet, so I'm wondering if I want a new '06 rather than a new '05.

Thanks,

Scott

Re: color changes for '06?

Judging by the number that I still see on the dealer lots, I would not count on an Amarillo Edition in 2006.

Re: color changes for '06?

I disagree.
I think it was a mistake to regionalize the truck.
I guarantee that color would be a hit in the north east.
I know that would be the color scheme I would order with the current choices available.

I don't think that it is the color, it's the fact that they run $48k and they are only XLT's.

I agree, yellow trucks seems to sell well, but not the Amarillo edition.

Re: color changes for '06?

Yeah, the 48K could stop sales in a big hurry.
With the rising costs of fuel, look for the big and heavy classes of trucks and SUVs to really slow down in sales as fuel prices rise.

My wifes Tahoe just came in this week. I think I might wait until April 1st to see if the programs change before we buy it. Although it is very early, I gotta wonder if GM may start trying to reduce stock before gas prices hit $3.00 a gallon.
I would hate to bring it home and then find out that the April programs were better.

Re: color changes for '06?

Sticker is 48K. I sure hope no one is paying that for them or any model in that sticker range. Actual purchase price should be about $7k less at a minimum. Love mine so far and that yellow turns more heads than you can imagine.

The programs can only get better, but GM starts out the month cheap and sneaks in additional $$ throughout the month.

Rumor is that GM is pumping up the rebate $1000 but only on units that have been on the lots more than 120 days.

Official announcement is supposed to come today or tomorrow.

You need to get a GM Card. The end of last year, GM was giving GM Card members extra rebates on top of any earned rebate points.

GM gave me an extra $4000 rebate on top of every other available rebate/rebate points/special financing on my GTO. What a rippin' good deal. That's why there is a red GTO in my garage.

Re: color changes for '06?

I have a "Drivers Edge" card, but I used up all of my rebate $$$ on my Silverado..

The weather around here is still lousy right now, so I'm going to wait until April 1st..
No sense getting the new truck all salted up on the inside.

Re: color changes for '06?

According to our Concepts ordering page, there are no color changes. it does show the D6 yellow and the Amarillo package. maybe they are going to open it up for the rest of the country as we were unable to get them last year and there was some interest. It also shows as only an available upgrade to the Lariet package not the XLT.

C'mon on down to TX. Every Ford dealer has 1 or 2 sitting on the lot.
