Compartment doors on truck bed........... - Diesel Forum

I have saw several F-250 and F-350 turcks with beds that have compartment doors down both side for storage of tools and equipment. Looks just like an ordinary bed with tailgate, but the compartment doors allow access for storage. Anybody know if these can be purchased from Ford as an option? Where can you get this type bed.

Hello,

There are a couple different companies out there that do the type of body you have seen. We stock a couple and they seem to be hit and miss. The most common one on the west coast is the "Royal Sport Body". They are a little pricy, but all in all a very nice product.

cool beans...... That was exactly what I was looking for. Within the next six months I anticipate being laid off and my boss and I are going into business for ourselves (insurance fire investigations) along with several other of our employees. I am looking at getting a F-250 with one of these types of beds to haul all of my job tools, etc.

Thanks for the info. Know anyone on the east coast that sells this product???
