Confused on plans

Who can explain the difference between X-Plan and A-Plan?

Re: Confused on plans

A Plan is Ford employee price. You know if you qualify for this. X plan is the the Ford friends and partner price. Your company may qualify for this, or you may find someone with Ford who can give you a PIN for X. X Plan is A Plan + 4% + $150.

Re: Confused on plans

What about using the X-plan pricing with incentives? Can one use factory incentives (cash back) ALONG WITH their X-plan price?

Re: Confused on plans

Yes you can. I bought my truck with Z-plan (retired ford employee and family) plus incentives. I also didnt have to pay any taxes, dont know if thats a state thing or what. At least by me, any vehicle rated over 8k lbs is tax free. Thank you George W.

Re: Confused on plans

I have heard both ways about my question about combining the X-plan price with factory cash back. I would just like to know for sure.

I live in Illinois also. So your saying any vehicle with a GVWR over 8,000 lbs is exempt from sales tax? That would be great. I'll have to question my dealer about that.

Re: Confused on plans

With any of the "plans", you still get any of the retail incentives be it interest rates or cash rebate.

Re: Confused on plans

Now I know the difference, that X is 4% plus $150 more, but what are they based on? Is it a formula from MSRP or invoice?

Re: Confused on plans

Are these smae plans available in Canada as well? Anyone know? Bought mine over 4 years ago not knowing anything about those types of plans. I have a friend that works for Ford. Or I could probably get the wife to work there for awhile!!

Re: Confused on plans

I believe it is just Illinois. For trucks with a GVWR over 8k lbs and if you have a commercial D plate then I guess your exempt from paying sales tax.

Re: Confused on plans

Ask the sales person to look at the invoice on the truck, it is etched in stone on there, you will see the A Plan price and the X plan price on the invoice, it is marked, should be a no haggle issue, unless you can get it cheaper?
