There a few restrictions on vehicle choice, but not many. E-Series and F-Series up thru F-350 DRW, but not F-450 or bigger. Other restrictions change from day to day and are in the dealer's VINCENT computer system. Recently, you could not use the plans to buy a Thunderbird, or any of the SVT vehicles, or Mustang Mach 1 (because demand was higher than supply). For a while the Harley pickup was on the no no list. And one part of the dealer's website (fdealer.com) that gave summary information about X-Plan eligibility indicated that any SuperDuty was not elgible last year when there was a run on SD 7.3L PSDs by fleets that didn't want a new 6.0l engine in their fleets until the bugs have been worked out.

A dealerperson would have to look in VINCENT to be sure, but I'm pretty sure folks have been ordering PSDs under the alphabet soup plans. But understand that no dealer has to accept another dealer's D plan, and the dealer that gave you the D plan can put more restrictions on it. Such as: "You can use it to buy any vehicle we've had in inventory for more than 90 days."

I bought a F350, "D-plan" because my sister-in-law works for a Blue Oval dealership and she provided me with a pin #. Got it for $36025. I don't think you're going to get a much better deal than if you're related to an employee. The "D" plan price is the same as "A" plan, which is employee price. It was $7000 off the MSRP.

I'm buying mine off of my Bro in law! I'm getting mine for $38331.25 on the D plan! I'm getting an F-350 Lariat CC Auto with everything! I'm so stoked and I can't wait. My ETA is March 31! Nice to see ya got a great deal, neighbor!!!
My advice to anyone who's looking for one of these awesome trucks is to look very deeply in your family. You won't know till you ask EVERYBODY!!!(for D Plan) IF you don't have any distant family members that are employees of Ford, check with your company. You may qualify for the "X" plan! If you can't get the X plan, you have to go with Cochise or B Williams. I speak from experiance with Cochise. I was this close to buying my dream truck with him and then I remembered my future Bro in law is a salesman for Ford in Idaho! I hated switching the deal from him to my Bro in law, but you have to go with the best deal when you are spending this kinda dough. Cochise understood this and wished me luck in my deal. I'm sure B Williams is a class guy too, but I highly recommend Cochise from experience! Good luck on your purchase!

Just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not after you!
Can anyone give me more details on qualifications for the D-plan? I just bought my 250 through the dealership where my
brother-in-law is a salesman. Does the dealership take any hit on allowing D-plan? He told me he actually made a little more
doing x-plan then their standard $500 over invoice sale. Just wondering why he never mentioned D-plan if the dealership
doesnt make less. Realizing it's not an entitlement, and a delaership doesnt have to accept the x-plan, does D-plan
work similarly? Thanks.
I don't know the whole story on the A/D/X plan situation, but if I remember correctly, my brother in law told me that he was allowed to use the D plan for himself or any family member up to two times per year. I'm sure that Cochise and B Williams could shed some clearer light on this subject. Perhaps different dealerships have different rules on this sort of thing.
