Re: Does anyone here work at the Kentucky plant?

There are several guys here that work at KTP, but they probably won't be able to help you trace down your order. That's what your dealer is for.

Even in NYC, there are folks in that dealership that will be glad to do their job and tell you what you want to know. You need to elevate your concern to the New Car sales manager or the fleet manager or the truck manager, and find out who is in charge of managing ordering and tracking orders for the dealership. In a big dealership that person is probably called the Inventory Manager or Fleet Manager. It's probably someone in the back office - not a salesperson.

Ask to see the latest weekly status report from the Vehicle Order Processing Center (Ford VOPC). Find your order number on that report, and it will tell you the current status as of Friday.

Then look in the '99-up FAQ on this website and study the Ford-speak as to what the various status conditions are - so you'll understand where you're at. Click here to read it.

After you've done this once, then you'll know who to call every Friday afternoon or Saturday to get the latest status on your order.
