DORA VIN# Code

I just recieved my DORA from the Dealer. The top 7 lines read:

NEW ORDER **DEALER SUBMITTED**
72K034 FREMONT FORD
BODY W21 BEGIN ORD 9928 #UNITS 001 Priority20
SPEC ORD# ORDER TYPE 1
DORA PROCESSED 09/22/00 PM
ORDER RCPT DATE 09/22/00
ASSEMBLY PLANT VIN# NW21F 1

I looked through the Search results for anything related to VIN#'s. Could someone explain what NW21F 1 stands for relative to the Mexico or Kentucky issue?

That code is not a VIN or even part of a VIN - as far as I can tell. The assembly plant field is blank on that DORA, and the VIN will begin with a 1 or a 3.

You won't get a VIN assigned until your truck is scheduled for production.

drkft -- You have received a partial VIN; the fourth thru eighth positions and the tenth position. This is standard with new orders. The tenth position of "1" is the model year designation for 2001.
