Well Folks
I guess too much information is a good thing. I checked out our NEW local dealer that has been harping on the radio about how great they want to be and how thier prices will be fair (at or neer dealer invoice etc.)
I asked about the 275HP 6 speed and got the dumb look. Then I said it was in thier ordering guide. He pulled his guide out and it said nothing. Of course I notice it was out of date, where apon he asked "How did I know and that it seem strange I knew more than him" His tone was a little upity
Well I could not let a sleeping dog be and got my dander up
. I came back to the office and printed out the guide with the information, and the price list. When I droped in he was suprized I even came back and when I showed him the guide he was astounded and asked where I got it. All I said was to visit our site here and he might learm something about our trucks and ordering. He did not like that comment very much
Now when I pulled out the pricing guide he got down right rude and was on the verge of saying something when I cut it short and said if you not willing to deal I will go someplace else. Then I added a comment about how truthfull thier advertizing was about dealing with dealer cost.
As I started to walk out an older couple approached me and asked what was going on so I showed them what I had. He was looking at buying and discovered how good a price they were not offering and got mad at them too.
I wont mention the language he used, but I got a great laugh out of it.
Needless to say I dont think I will be ordering from them. I am waiting for a call from the general mgr of the dealer on my complaint on the rudeness of the staff. Maby he will be willing to make it right. You never know.
PS the BOSS is softning on the new truck, If I can be good and save tell the first of the year.
