Employee Discount!!!!

I was watching the NBC nightly news and they reported Ford is matching the GM deal on vehicles. I bet tomorrow the details will be out on the web site.

Re: Employee Discount!!!!

If it's like gm's you it won't be any better than buying one today because they will adjust the rebates to make up the difference.

Re: Employee Discount!!!!

Well if it is at an A-plan price then you are correct, but if they adjust the incentive to give us the difference then that's still pretty good deal.

It's on the Ford website now. Click on "Build your own" and note the "Family Plan Price".

I built a 2006 F-350 SRW Lariat PSD and found several 4x4s at a nearby dealer. "Mine" was MSRP $49,710 and A-Plan price $41,745. There are no rebates on 2006 PSDs yet, so that's the price.

The below link is to the Ford incentives page. I don't see any rebates still applicable to 2005 SuperDuties. So maybe the A-Plan pricing replaces all rebates and incentives - even on 2005s?

GM's program is employee price and the $3,000 discount basically $10,000 off MSRP on a Duramax, if a person can find one.

Re: Employee Discount!!!!

The Ford deal is not that good. I sampled the website. A $50k+ MSRP KR is discounted down to about $42k.

$8000 off isn't that great. Most dealers around me have been knocking $10,000-$12,000 off MSRP for several months. $48k down to $36k.

Woopeee! Save a bundle.

This is how Ford treats "Family"?

Re: Employee Discount!!!!

jschira, Since your profile does not show a location, I must ask if you are within a 1,000 miles of Southwest Mississippi. Those are the kind of dealers I need to find since around here they are doing me a "favor" at invoice+$500.

gaurdrail,

So is the FordDirect website incorrect? When I choose to "build" an 06' it gives me comparable 2006 SD available in my area priced at A/Z Plan... Granted, it's what's in stock, but they are listed as 2006's... Is the Ford website incorrect?

Well, I guess it's my mistake. Ford can LIST what the A/Z plan price would be for a 2006, it's just not available to everyone... Kind of sucks...

Re: Employee Discount!!!!

the secret isn't being able to build and price it, the secret is being able to have the truck be program eleigible when the dealer puts the VIN into Vincent the day you close. I can build and price anything using XPlan becasue of our buying deal thru GE - means nothing until I can actually use it.

The email the districts sent the dealers says 05 only, dealer stock only, aug 5th expiration. It includes the program code (starts with a G but I don't recall what it was) and an example of how to calc a commission.

Re: Employee Discount!!!!

from the Ford Partner site - note the exclusions.

The Ford Family Plan

We are very pleased to announce that As the dates reflect, this is a limited time offer which will allow us to quickly clear out our remaining 2005 models and give you a price that before now was only available to our own employees and retirees! WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS OFFER TODAY!!

As mentioned above, the Ford Family Plan Price is available on most 2005 Ford and Lincoln Mercury vehicles. Some dealerships may elect not to participate. A Partner Recognition Program Personal Identification Number (PIN) is not necessary to take advantage of this offer. Combine this offer with most current cash allowances, APR, or lease offers.

The Ford Partner Recognition Program (X-Plan) offer is still available on Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, and Mazda (S-Plan) vehicles, along with the 2005 Ford Mustang and most 2006 Ford and Lincoln Mercury products. Please visit www.fordpartner.com to generate your Partner Recognition PIN for these vehicles.

For further details about the Ford Family Plan, go to www.ford.com or see your dealer.

FAQ's

Is the Ford Partner Recognition Program discontinued?

No. The Ford Partner Recognition Program is ongoing. Partner Recognition X-Plan pricing discounts are currently available on select new 2006 Ford Motor Co. vehicles and 2005/2006 Volvo, Land Rover, Jaguar, and Mazda (S-Plan) vehicles. The Partner Recognition Program X-Plan price is also available on the 2005 Mustang at participating dealers. Now through August 1st, the Ford Family Plan Price should be used for all 2005 Ford (excludes Mustang, Escape Hybrid, E-450 Series, F-450 series trucks and above, and Ford GT) and all Lincoln Mercury vehicles.

Which program offers the best price?

The Ford Family Plan price offers the same savings available to employees and retirees of Ford Motor Company and is a superior value compared to the Partner Recognition Program.

Do I need to generate a PIN for the Ford Family Plan Price?

No. Just visit your Ford, or Lincoln Mercury dealership for the Ford Family Pricing discount.

Will I need to show "proof of employment" for the Ford Family Plan?

No. Everyone is eligible for this limited time offer.

Is the Ford Family Plan Price a set, no haggle, price?

Yes. You will not need to negotiate your price with this special new discount offer. Ford Family Pricing is the same outstanding price our employees and retirees receive. Everyone is eligible for this limited time offer.

Will I be charged a doc fee to take advantage of this Ford Family Price?

In many cases, yes, but it will vary from state to state, and depend on State Law requirements and dealership policy.

Will I be charged a "doc fee" if I use the Partner Recognition Program?

Due to State Law requirements, the dealer will be required to charge Partner Recognition Plan sales the same doc fee that is applied to sales under the Ford Family Plan Program. This requirement is only on those 2005 model Ford and Lincoln Mercury vehicles eligible under the Ford Family Plan Program. For all other models, the standard "no doc fee" Partner Recognition rules apply.

gaurdrail,

Thanks, I saw the "light" after posting... I got too excited NOT to read the offer entirely... I still have my fingers crossed that something might happen after this offer... My "ordered" vehicle is scheduled for the 8th of next month.... I'll just have to wait and see... Got any secrets for me???
