Today I placed an order for an F-450 FX4 Pickup. King Ranch Chrome Package, TorqueShift, White/Pueblo Gold, 4.30 axle. Pretty much fully loaded except for the navigation system and moonroof. Salesman estimates 8 weeks to get it. I'll be getting rid of a real good '04 6.0 but I usually trade at 4 years and actually kept this truck longer than usual.
Your gonna Love it!!! Mines a 450 crew cab long bed 4X4 (sticker says 4x4 offroad not Fx4 but...) 4.30's as well. Have about 8.5K on it so far and it just keeps running stronger. Blows some smoke now but still no complaints. These 450's make those 350's seem like a toy. Hauled over 6K of feed in the bed last week and the only thing I noticed was it road better. In short there an incredible machine, congadulations

I ordered my F450 Lariat on Monday, August 20th, and got the build date yesterday, August 25th for the week of 9-24. Dealer says about 2 weeks for delivery after that. Ordered almost every option except 4x4 and rear entertainment. Black, with gray lower panel. Will be trading my 2003 Chevy 3500 Duramax/Allison. Pull a Teton 5th wheel with approximate weight of 15k.
Test drove a similar equipped 4.88 F450 yesterday and really jazzed about the Ford. Don't get me wrong, the Chevy has been terrific, but I am very close to, or over tow max specs. Ford solves that problem with the F450. Just debating whether I should get the extended warranty or not.

Got the window sticker today from ViperPilot at BOF.....looks like the tracking system is back online. This confirms what the dealer sent me on Monday---the build date is next Monday 9-24, and ETA here in SoCal week of 10-08. Ordered 08/20--if delivered 10-08 that will be about 6 weeks...darn fast!

As of yesterday the status changed to "bucked", all parts on line ready to be assembled. I'll check tomorrow and expect to see that the truck has been built.
Checked today and railcar is on Union Pacific system. Has passed through Jet City, Missouri and should arrive in Dallas sometime this weekend. ETA is 10/8 but dealer thinks it should be here middle of next week.
