There are two different dealer's invoices. The whole world usually means the dealer's invoice "with holdback" included. If you find dealer invoice prices on sites such as  www.edmunds.com and www.nadaguides.com and www.kbb.com - those prices will be with holdback. So for that invoice, "invoice" and "dealer's invoice" is the same.
The other invoice - the one without the holdback included - is rarely mentioned. Normally only dealers would see that one. Only bookkeepers managing the dealer's accounting should care about that one, so I don't worry about it.
