Re: It is Finally Here

I just stopped and capped off my tank. The very first 405 miles on the truck got me 17.8 mpg. I just about did a cart-wheel in the servie area. I hope the truck can maintain this.

Re: It is Finally Here

Archer
It only gets better from here... My first tank of dealer fuel was 15.4 and my next tank of Amaco was 17.6 With some burnouts. At this rate diesel will be flowing out of the tank soon

Re: It is Finally Here

Hey Archer does your truck have the cackle? The reason I'm asking is because my truck was built the same day, so I was wondering if mine would have it? Mine was also shipped the 30th but it has a little longer ride then yours did.

Re: It is Finally Here

Congrats The Archer,

Where did you order your truck from?
I lived in Osseo for 5 years before moving to St. Francis. I liked Osseo.
I ordered mine from North Country Ford on 7/20/01. It supposed to be at the dealership next week. I called VOPC and they said it was released from the plant on 8/27. Crew cabs must take longer.

Re: It is Finally Here

2002 stroker

My truck has no sign of cackle. It purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs like a kitten and roars like a lion. I have listened to the WAV files with the cackle sound and my truck definately does not have a cackle.

DMOOS

I ordred it through Minar Ford in New Brighton. I had actually worked with them on a 2001 Superduty v-10 11 months ago. I walked away from the deal because we could not come to terms on a trade in. They were very helpful and there was no hard feelings. I went back there in July and started working on a deal for my 2002. This time I sold my Dodge privately so we did not have the trade in problem. I was very impressed by the sales team there. They were very helpful and very understanding. My wife called them alot to get info on the order status and they were very helpful and got back to her quickly. I would definately recommend them to a potential buyer.

Hope you get your truck soon.

Archer

Re: It is Finally Here

Yep, its a beauty of a truck. I must admit I want to drive it all of the time. Unfortunately, he wants a chance too!

I would definitely recommend the people at Minar Ford. Very nice and helpful.
