Ford "Alumni" Program Rebate & X-Plan

Just found out that you can't use Ford "Alumni" Program $400 Rebate if purchasing under the X-Plan. Back of mailing states that A/D/Z/X vehicles are ineligible. Off to order it tomorrow though!

But the Farm Bureau discount will work with the X-plan and anybody can join anywhere in the country. Saved me another $500. Enjoy your new truck!

Since this is your first post, I just want to offer a big ford-diesel.com WELCOME to the site.

I joined Farm Bureau after I bought my Super Duty to save a bundle on insurance. Didn't realize they had a discount avaiable on new vechicles. I'll have to keep that in mind when we get the wife something new. Thanks for the heads up.

Re: Ford "Alumni" Program Rebate & X-Plan

Mister C & showme69,

Checking out the Farm Bureau websites for the states of MA, CA & MO, I only saw $500 rebates for Dodges. I did not see any Ford program. Thanks for your help.

Re: Ford "Alumni" Program Rebate & X-Plan

Beachcomber - CA has the Farm Bureau Rebate. Used for my '01 as well as my son's F150.
Check with Ford Customer Svc to see if the rebate has been renewed in your state as well as renewal for '02.

good luck......

Re: Ford "Alumni" Program Rebate & X-Plan

Hey Beachcomber,

Where in MA are you from. I'm just about ready to finish up my EAA membership application and order an X-plan 2002 from Stoneham Ford.

I could do with an additional $500 as well. Let me know (let us all know) if you find out anything useful. I also checked the MA Farm Bureau site and didn't find anything more than you did.

Re: Ford "Alumni" Program Rebate & X-Plan

woodworker,

I'm from SE MA and am going to order from a dealer nearby. I joined the EAA for the $40 to get the X-Plan, then found that the X-Plan discount and the "Alumni" rebate that I would have gotten otherwise are probably equivalent (one dealer already told me that he would order at invoice w/o X-Plan). I will call Ford Customer Service about the Farm Bureau rebate. I don't want to pay the Farm Bureau membership and find that there's no rebate in MA. I will post my findings.

Re: Ford "Alumni" Program Rebate & X-Plan

Just joined the California Farm Burea as a sustaining member for $50. You have to pick the county you want to join and if you have ag income you would join as a voting member for I think $125. You get some nice publications and other member benefits as well. Sounds interesting aside from the rebate. Called them and joined by phone with a credit card. She said that although they only have a contract with Dodge, Ford does honor the rebate by showing them your membership card. You must be a member for at least 30 days for either Ford or Dodge rebate. Your effective membership date is the first day of the month you join and it takes a couple of weeks to send your card. Real nice people I talked to in Sacremento. Now for the real test. I have a 2002 currently on order at X-plan from Bobby with a Vin# assigned.
Ya gotta love this site

Copied from Califronia Farm Bureau Website:

Vehicle Discounts
Dodge is the official Farm Bureau truck in California. Vehicles that qualify for the new $500 consumer cash allowance for Farm Bureau members include 2001 and 2002 Ram Pickups (all models), Durango SUV's, and new Dakotas (excluding 4 cylinder), new Dakota Quad Cabs, Ram Cargo Vans, Ram Wagons and Ram Conversion Vans. The current program runs through July 31, 2001. Dodge made their offer good for three years, providing yearly renewal through July 31, 2002. Note that now members qualify for this rebate after 30 days.

Dodge has expanded the $500 rebate for Farm Bureau members to include these 2001 models: Caravan, Grand Caravan (except EX), Intrepid, Stratus and Neon. This expansion applies to vehicles purchased from Feb. 10 to July 31, 2001.
