Got my order # - Diesel Forum

I got a call from my dealership today and got my order number finally, so the DORA has went though to ford [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] I do have one question though pertaining to the order number. Is there any way that I can go to any websites and find anything out about the truck such as build dates, ect. with the order number? Also the order number itself.....thats not the number of truck I will receive out of the 05's is it? Looks like I will have a good wait if that is the case with the number being near 9000.

Great that you got the order number. I still think the dealer has allocation issues or something, I ordered on 7/14/04 and my order number is in the 568_ sequence. Sounds like he pushed you till august or something.

Every dealer probably uses a different order sequence and order number is nothing to worry about.

For example, here at Sunrise sold ordered units will start with a 9xxx for the order number so the sold orders stay together on the report and are listed at the bottom.

At this time, Ford does not have a consumer order tracking site. Rumor has it they are in the process of doing something in the future with UPS.

No, not yet. As Bobby said, Ford is working on it.

In the meantime, Ford keeps the dealer informed as to the status of your order. The main report is a weekly status report that includes all open orders for that dealership. Ford transmits the report every Friday, so by Friday night the dealer should have it. Your dealerperson can find that report and make you a copy of the page that has your order number on it. If I had a new truck on order, I'd be standing on the desk of my dealerperson every Friday night or Saturday morning demanding my copy of that my page of that report. It's called the Weekly VOPC Status Report. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]
