Does anyone know why VOPC would report a truck as "On Hold" even though it has been "Released from gate?" I am growing impatient, the truck is built, don't put the truck "On Hold" for a radio or something, just ship it. If it is minor, it can be fixed at the dealer, later.
Also, does anyone know how to find out what is causing the "Hold?"

I have no idea what's up with yours, but it is Ford's policy to not ship vehicles with known problems. If something is wrong it will be fixed before it leaves the plant, not at the dealer.

Yeah, with Viper just shy of MIA (Who needs a vacation anyway?) on BlueOval, and my truck already built, I am frustrated waiting with no info. I have my doubts about the validity of the info VOPC provided me, and my salesman is not that great about checking. He makes his money one way or the other. I think VOPC figured out I was not my salesman, too many questions this time. (Why don't you check on the computer, are you in your car, ect.) Basically I think they shot me BS info to mess with me, or my truck really is on Hold. Either way ARGGHH! Ship me my truck. Ok, I feel better now. That last part, about feeling better, might have been a lie.

I think I can speak for all of us who ordered 2-3 weeks before you and haven't received our trucks yet. DEAL WITH IT!!!

This whole wait thing sucks.
I was determined to buy something off the lot, because I've been through this wait thing twice before.
But you know how that goes, Job 2 offers the chrome package, the new ignition, TPMS and the rear video.
I try not to think about it during the day. Just work and family. Then I get home and immediately get on the computer for my truck update fix. Hey, in another month our trucks will be broke in and we'll have forgotten about the wait. Right? Besides, what's a few weeks wait to get the truck you want for the next 2-5-7-9yrs?

Unfortunately for me, I wanted TPMS, Backup camera, King Ranch, with Supplemental heater, dual alternators, and no ESF 4x4. So, I had to order to get what I wanted. I am normally patient, but I sold my truck a few weeks ago. Then my order got pushed back a week because of that shut-down. So, I have been sans vehicle for a little while now, I have to catch a ride to work, and home. Anyway, I will be better, as soon as I get my truck. Until we get our trucks, we just need to think happy new truck thoughts. Good luck everyone.

I remember when I ordered my first SD in December of 1998.
I ordered a SC LB.
When I saw the first crew cab SD drive by, that was IT!.
I called the dealer and re-ordered a CC SWB. From ordering the wrong truck, to the time of delivery of the right truck, it took 24 weeks.
Now, THAT sucked.
My 03' Lariat LE was ordered in April of 02', and I waited until Jan 13 of 03' before I took delivery. I waited for the 6.0L, which started delivering in November. Then the Lariat LE went on commodity hold for 6 weeks, and THAT sucked.. But that truck was totally worth the wait.
Well, it turns out, my truck is not on hold. Basically, I think VOPC was messing with me, which is not cool, but since I was wasting their time by trying to check on a truck that gives them a job, I guess I deserve their fibbing. Anyway, as I don't want to bet $3500 on the rebates continuing or getting better, I filled out the paperwork today. So, I guess I will have my truck when it gets here. At least I have the financial stress off, and nothing more to really worry about till it gets here. I wish everyone good luck in their truck shipments.
