Been needing a stronger tow vehicle than the F-250 to tow our Teton fifth wheel travel trailer. Just happened to stop by a commercial Ford truck dealer in Manassas yesterday. Looks like(if the numbers work out) that I will be picking up the above F-550 with Chariot hauler bed. None of the fluff, just a nice XLT the way I like them. Got in in time for the 0%/72 month financing. That alone will save me a bundle. Had wanted a F-650 but the price was just too much for a dedicated towing vehicle that we may put 5,000 miles a year on. Got to get an air ride fiver hitch since this truck is leaf spring sprung(oh, my aching kidneys!)
I still love my Fords and am pretty happy with the 6.0 and Torqueshift combo.

Working with Dan Jordan at Battlefield, truck does not have the pickup bed. I tried to purchase from my last dealer(Sheehy, Marlow Heights) but they don't seem to do much hauler bed conversions. I fear the bed rails would be too high for my fifth wheel. Yours looks real nice. Here is something I found interesting. He has a nice '05 550(new) for a great price but the 0%/72 months does not apply to the '05s. The '06 will actually cost me quite a bit less than the '05 because of this.
