I picked that up on BON on a sales thread, and I'm not sure if this is current, or in the past. I should have checked it before I posted it.
It's not out of the realm of possibility for Toyota to go after the competition agressively.
I have to check it's authenticity tonight, but one thing is for sure, Toyota is carving into the US market, and they're killing GM right now...

Sales of the Tundra as so good, Toyo is lowering the rebates (at the same time GM is raising its rebates).

The "Official" TMS rebate in TX had been $3500. Now it is $3000.

There had also been a Gulf States Toyo $2500 rebate. Not sure what is happening with it.

Used to be able to get 0% for 60 months in lieu of rebate. Now I think that it is only 48 months.

You can get an SR5 XCab with the 4.7 for around $21k, about the same as an F-150 Screw XLT with the 4.6L.

GM CrewCabs have been running $23-$24k. Price-wise, GMs are not very competitive.

Local dealers are selling '08 F-250 SuperCab 5.4's for around $24-$25k. 6.4's are going for about $8k off MSRP (with owner loyalty $1k rebate).

How would I get a XPlan deal if I'm not a worker for Ford?
I've read some on it but don't know all the in's and outs?

I have looked all over the BON and there is nothing on there. Also, Bobby Williams has not reported back that it is legit. The Cruise control issue is on older vehicles. There is nothing on there about delays on the 4x4's either. Lets see some hard proof on this issue....

What toyota does does not concern me in the least.. They cant field a nascar team even with good drivers. smoke and mirrors will fail and those that get drawn in get what they deserve. If you need a truck, you buy a truck.. If you want a toy, you buy a Toy..., Ch... or a Dodge. Remember, they just hired the loser from Home Depot as the CEO,, makes you think a little.

Thanks for the heads up. Looking at orders in the system this morning I have several orders showing hold status. Looks like there's also a commodity restraint on the Sirus Sat option.

That is a better answer, the cruise control is not the problem.. the 4x4 lockup issue is the problem. On Friday the DNB should be updated to reflect this. If it is only 1 week I should make the 09/03 for the rebates.

I wonder about those trucks that were already built on Job #2? Mine was built on 8/2, so does that mean it has the bad wiring and it will burn up when I put it in 4 wheel drive???? Maybe I'd have been better off with a 2006 6 leaker afterall.

well you could carry a fire extinguisher for the 08 or extra headgaskets, egr valves, turbos, injectors and rear main seals for the 6 leaker.. sorry couldn't resist hope your truck is fine [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif[/img]

I am quite sure yours will be repaired as necessary before delivery. The only question is are the repairs going to be done at the plant or the dealer and how much of a delay is it going to be.

I don't think this could be farther from the truth. A very reliable source who works for Toyota tells me they have let go all temps at their larger truck plant and have slowed the line to the lowest times possible. This truck is not selling well and has not met sales projections yet. My opinion is the styling is not the best and the price is second highest in the field next to Nissan.
