New 250 is here with mistake!!! HELP

I ordered my new 250 on Oct. 3 and got it on Nov. 7. That's the good news, I didn't think it would come in that fast. So fast that I haven't sold my truck yet.
My problem is that it doesn't have the new seats, and I really wanted them. Was there a problem with them, or did they just try to get rid of the old ones with me? Can I get them from Ford if I throw a fit or hold my breath or something? I have not signed the papers yet! Weren't they a late availability item, but weren't they going to be used after Oct. 2. Please help.

Re: New 250 is here with mistake!!! HELP

This reply assumes you are talking about LEATHER SEATS. Otherwise, disregard.

Are you absolutely certain you have 2000 model seats? I saw a 2001 two months ago delivered to a dealer's lot and it had the new leather seats.

Sounds like a mistake. The dealer can probably swap out the seats. Get it in writing, then drive off. When the new seats come in, they'll swap them. It shouldn't cost the dealership a penny.

Re: New 250 is here with mistake!!! HELP

It is the leather seats but it is not the 2000 seats. It's 2001 seats but after Oct. 2 they had the seat belts mounted in the seats and had a seperate head rest. Mine do not.

He's obviously talking about the new Supercab seats with the seat belt anchoring moved into the seat body instead of bolted to the rear floor. Don't know the answer to his question but I would want them too I think. "Late availbilty", a lot of the times, means January or so.

Re: New 250 is here with mistake!!! HELP

The lower air valance is one of those items that was suppose to be on the trucks built as of 10/02 as well. Mine was built that week but has no new air dam. I figured they were just burning the remainder of the old stuff. I didn't think to complain...maybe I should ask...ah, forget it.

nachoboat -- Have your dealer run an OASIS on the VIN and find out the actual build date. Armed with this information, your dealer should then E-mail Lew Echlin, the Super Duty brand manager, for resolution. Please post your results.

Re: New 250 is here with mistake!!! HELP

Sorry guys, haven't been able to get to the computer. My truck is a 2001 PSD CC SWB SRW Lariet 6 spd. Manual 4x4 Oxford white w/ two tone Harvest Gold
I saw someones reply that it comes on the Supercab and mine is the Crew cab. I thought surely this would be standard seats for the CC but every picture I see them in is the SC. They are cool seats though. I don't have the build date but it was ordered on Oct 3, so I know it wasn't built that week. My truck has all the other late availability options( 275 HP, and air valance). So it must be for the SC only.

Thanks for the help. This has got to be one of the best sites on the internet. I love it.

Re: New 250 is here with mistake!!! HELP

Can you post the configuration of your truck, that would help because the seats are different depending on which config. you ordered.
