If they were new 2002s, the dealer invoice would be over $31,000.
If they're 2001s with full factory warranty and no flood damage or whatever, then they'd be a good buy if you wanted a RC 4x2.
With MSRP of only $32,000, I suspect they're leftover Y2Ks. But you have the guy's phone number, so if you want a new PSD automatic 4x2 XLT for only $24k, then call the guy up and get the full scoop.
2002 invoice:
24,600 F-350 RC 4x2
4,012 PSD
931 auto tranny
243 LS axle
107 Heavy Service front suspension
225 remote keyless entry (advanced security group)
715 freight
200 FDAF & fuel
--------
31,033 2002 invoice cost

I looked at the listings for all those trucks at the towneauto web site. They list all the vin #'s with the pics of all the trucks. 15 of them are sequential skipping only one number . Then they jump about 20,000 with two more pairs, then one odd ball . My guess is that this dealer bought them at an auction or some company ordered them and then discovered they couldn't afford them etc.., or maybe ford used them at some promotional event. If you look at the pics on e-bay they still have the plastic on the seats. You can also see this in the photo's on the towneauto website. My guess is that they were never titled. Even if they were that is a hell of a deal for an XLT Powerstroke with less than 200 miles on it. If I had not have just bought mine 4 mos ago. I would be on my way to N.Y. right now. For 6-7K discount I would have forgotten about wanting a lariat.

See my last post right above yours. They were titled huh? Another thought, maybe a conversion company had them and bought too many. Indiana is like the mecca for that sort of thing. Either way I wish I could have bought one of those and saved a ton of money. My advice GO FOR IT!!!

Hmmmmm. Sounds like a fleet from a bankrupt company such as a dot com or a telecomm outfit that's gone on the rocks in the last few months.
If the only thing wrong with them is that they've been titled with a few miles and then shipped to New York, it sounds like a heck of a good deal. Brand new identical 2001s would cost several thousand dollars more. And a brand new 2002 would cost you about $7,000 more.

Just a thought... If they have been titled already, no matter how few miles may have to be financed as a used vehicle. A high interest rate could kill any savings!
