I recently bought a new E-350 and the dealer told me that I could not get factory incentives with the x plan. So they sold it to me for $500 iver invoioce and I got the rebates. Why are vans not eligible for factory rebates on the x plan?
Interesting to know that even nowadays dealers can play a mean trick on their customers. Of course it's their customers fault also as they are not properly informed.
This time it is some $1000 extra to the dealer. Shame on us that it is a TDS member who was fooled.

If your van was elgible for X-Plan purchase, then you get all the factory incentives that were effective on the date of delivery.
However, the "commercial" vans may not be elgible for X-Plan. So your first step is to be certain your van was elgible for X-Plan purchase. If it wasn't, then you made a reasonable deal at $500 over invoice.
But if your van was elgible for X-Plan purchase with your PIN, then you were ripped off to the tune of around $700 compared to the X-Plan price. And I'll bet it wasn't the "dealer" who did it, but a greedy salesman that works for the dealer.
What to do? If your van was eligible for X-Plan purchase, then go to the dealership and demand to see the dealer - not a manager but the dealer himself. Tell him your story and demand the approximately $700 in cash that you were cheated out of, in exchange for your X-Plan PIN. Also report the incidence to Ford. They don't look kindly at dealerships that screw X-Plan customers.

Somehow I suspect your van was not elgible for X-Plan purchase, and that you made a decent deal on a "commercial" van. I can't imagine a dealerperson so stupid that they'd gamble on losing their Ford franchise by blatently cheating an X-Plan customer.
Keep us informed.

They should. You may check the 2007 Ford Econolines E-350 SD at Pat Milliken Ford. They even list the X-plan price both for cargo and passenger versions. Here an example:
MSRP: $32,875
A-Plan: $28,397
X-Plan: $29,582
Also I found a statement. It's from 2005 but why they should have changed their policy?
