Off-road Package Steering Stabilizer

I am ordering an 2001 F-250 4X4. It is my understanding that the off-road package includes skid plates, decal, and steering stabilizer. I do not want the skid plates or decal, and I do want a much heavier steering stabilizer than comes with the package.

The stabilizer (shock absorber) attaches in the middle of the bar with U-bolts. On the other side there is a bracket that is part of a major component assembly where the stabilizer mounts. I am assuming that the bracket will be there (minus the stabilizer) even if I don't order the Off-road package.

Does anyone have knowledge of this. Again, this is important to me so I can immediately add an after-market heavy duty steering stabilizer.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Off-road Package Steering Stabilizer

You could also order the Heavy Service Suspension. It comes with a steering stabilizer and makes the truck sit more level. It doesn't ride as rough as you might think it would.

Re: Off-road Package Steering Stabilizer

The bracket will be there. You can order the aftermarket steering stabilizer kit which will come with the rest of the bracketry you need.

All the trucks I've seen without the stock stabilizer still have the main bracket to attach to.
