No kidding, loft . Like you, I ordered on 9/8; my locked-in build has always been the week of 10/29 -- with no change (at least yet) due to the shutdown. If the KTP stork drops this thing by Thanksgiving as originally expected I will be a happy camper. It's gonna suck if it turns into a Christmas or New Year's present!

Re: Production Time - Super Duties

Well, had a chat with the with the sales rep yesterday and they couldnt even pull strings up the line to get better priority for there fleet sales and thoes usualy go through faster.... though they did tell him that it should me back to normal at the beginning of january(they do mostly Fleet sales) and fleet is a longer wait at the moment than retail order outs. Come on mullaly let them build Trucks!

A littre background this is a truck dealer that has the best prices and has never taken more than 8 weeks to get me a truck..and usualy much shorter(3-6) weather they do it fleet(special paint color) or retail order.

Bobby Williams got my ordered truck to me in about 5 1/2 weeks, ordered to driving.

Re: Production Time - Super Duties

Rub it in, SDJ...rub it in.
I placed my order with Bobby Sept. 25, just before the big STOP sign...

So I rather 'spect it will be a tad longer than 5 1/2 weeks before I see wheels.

Applejuice - did you order SEPTEMBER 8 or OCTOBER 8? Your posts give both dates.

I need to get verification from my contact at Ford, but rumor has it that there's a hold up with two-tone paint, so therefore your order was passed over. If this is something that is long term I'll let you know so you can decide what you want to do.

Re: Production Time - Super Duties

Ordered 10-08-07 from Bobby williams.

Dropship to FL.

He has a web page that tracks his orders with ford, that keeps you updated without having to call him all the time. I'll bet he calls me when the money is due, come November.

Re: Production Time - Super Duties

I ordered mine 10/1 and it has a scheduled build date of 11/5 and the VIN has been assigned. I have no idea if this will hold with the rumours of 16 week deliveries and whatnot. I guess we'll see.

As long as there are no unforseen hold ups your truck should build the week of 11/05 as it is scheduled.

Delivery times will vary from dealer to dealer and fleet purchasing company to fleet purchasing company. Rarely will it ever be the same. It all depends on allocation.

Re: Production Time - Super Duties

powerstroke...can you explain the allocation process? i cant imagine my dealer has a huge allocation...as they only have about 12 SDutys on the lot right now. You are saying this will hurt my production time right?

Thanks...

Re: Production Time - Super Duties

Well it now looks if there is another potential bump in the road for those waiting on a PSD. Navistar is on strike.
