WOW!! I would be calling the dealer three or four times a day til he got me a VIN!!

I ordered mine on 10/15 and it shipped out on 11/15. Should be here by the end of next week or first of the next.

Have you received any updates on your rig? I just found out from the VIN tracker thread on blueoval that mine has been produced, as scheduled. I ordered it 9/8, and from the very beginning was told it would be built the week of 10/29. My dealer had me a VIN# in a week, and the date held through the shutdown. It is sitting in a rail yard 90 miles south of here, the dealer thinks it should get delivered early next week..around the 20th(gotta unload from train and load on the semi truck and whatnot).

I ordered it on 10/1 and arriving in 7 weeks to the dealer is pretty good in my book, especially with all the talk of delays and whatnot.

I can't wait to see how peppy this beast is gonna be with the 4.30s [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif[/img]</div></div>


My V-10 with 4.10's is quite peppy, so with the 4.30's, you should get laid back in your seat. You're going to LOVE the tow/haul and the Torque Shift tranny and the new cab layout is really nice.

I'll take a picture when it arrives, your dealer must be clueless. I had a VIN around a week after ordering if memory serves me. With the VIN also came the scheduled build date of 11/5, it changed to 11/6 when I last minute added the snow plow option.

Mine might be coming faster due to being a regular cab and or a gasser.

Well just an observation here... but it seemed to me that ford was cooking the books a bit there b4 the Q3 financial report... by building the higher profit trucks first than later built the smaller profit/lower trim levels... like at my dealer the week they pulled mine, they pulled 4 other regular cab xlt on xl diesels, all slightly diffrent. while if you ordered a SC/CC lariats and above they were building them in like a month.(6-7 weeks delivered)

From what I understand, for the Northeast it's an allocation issue due to high fleet orders. I ordered on 9/25 from a dealer I've been using for 15+ years and I still don't have a VIN# yet.

This is why the east coast orders are delayed and the other areas are getting orders processed quicker.

nope no vin...as far as i know i still dont have one, and no estimated dates...they just continue to tell me at the dealer that it has to do with allocation and there is just no way to get me a truck right now...

so im stuck...i guess

I think I would cancel my order with them and try another dealer. That's ridiculous to make you wait that long.

Well I almost hate to post this, but mine came in Monday (11/26). It was ordered 10/16. That was an agonizing wait. I would go crazy waiting as long as you have!!
