Save $245 if buying off the lot, check build date

I know the price increase has gone into effect as mentioned here by various posters. So, I thought I'd share with you what I noticed today while browsing the local Ford yard.

I came across two identical trucks (02 F-250 Lariat 4x4 CC,PSD,SWB) that were pretty loaded. They were parked next to each other and even the same color (Toreador/silver). One stickered at 42,020 and the other 42,265. I was interested in these trucks and started looking for what one had that the other didn't. Nothing, they are identical except the cheaper one had a build date of 12-13-01 and the other 1-3-02.

The $245 difference came from: MSRP base vehicle up $100, MSRP on 7.3 diesel up $120, and destination up $25. So If your getting one off the lot check first and try to find one with an 01 build date. May as well save yourself $245 if the 01 build truck has every thing you want.

I think that dealer should seperate those two trucks.[img]/ubbthreads/images/icons/wink.gif[/img]
