them BIG back windows

Hi all,

Asking for a buddy of mine. He wants a F150 super cab, and wants that big sliding rear window in it. Not sure if you've seen them or not - but those 4 door Explorer/truck hybred things have them. The sliding portion of the window is probaby 3' across, and rolls down into the truck. Dealer is telling him that that option is not available on the trucks.

? Anyone know if it will be soon?
? Anyone know who might install something like that aftermarket?

Thanks much.

Mike

ForceV,

Cochise here. The back wall of the S/Duty will not permit the installation of the powered drop slider, there is simply no place for it.

However, a power horizontal slider is available.

Re: them BIG back windows

Ah - that explains it - thanks for the scoop.

Problem is the new sliders, manual or electric aren't wide enough. This guy is a windsurfer, and sticks his boards in the bed of the truck, through the back windows. His 95' king cab's window will allow him to do this, the new ones are too narrow.

Cochise didn't notice you were asking about an F-150, so he answered about a SuperDuty.

F-150 is off topic in this forum. This forum is reserved for "Discussion of ordering and status of an order of a 1999-Up Super Duty Truck". So I'll move your thread to the Other forum. Look for additional rresponses in that forum.
