Tracking via rail

Q: What rail company would be used to ship from KTP to Colorado?

I was told by my dealer that my truck (built 8/3/00) was finally loaded on a railcar Friday, 8/18/00. This seems a long time for a truck to wait for shipment after assembly.

After review, edited...

I tried plugging my VIN (last 8) into Burlington Northern Santa Fe's (bnsf.com) site with no luck.

Re: Tracking via rail

I just received information my truck is inbound to the Hadley ramp (Brighton).

A day or two.....

Or five or eight....

I checked the arrival date to the 'ramp': 8/25/00. Probably 8/29/00 for delivery.
Too bad I'm leaving town (driving, of course) that day and will be gone until the 5th.

Re: Tracking via rail

Spoon, I do remember that Hadley is how those bad boys get from the railhead to the dealer. It's getting close (and gotta love my dealer; it's the last day of the month when the truck showed up, they had it prepped for pickup that evening ).

Oh, and don't assume a day or two - my truck showed up in Brighton on Monday, 8 days later is when it showed up in Castle Rock... but it'll show up.

Re: Tracking via rail

Spoon, I *think* it's BNSF from KY to CO (I don't remember now). The railhead is north of Denver on the road to Greeley.

My truck left Kentucky on Friday, the day after it was built, and showed up at the railhead on Monday. It then sat another week before being trucked down to Castle Rock.

Is your dealer sure it loaded on a railcar yesterday or was it railhead?
