What is the difference between the Capt chairs and the High back bucket seats??

We are ordering our truck and we want to know the difference between these two.
My wife hasn't said much but we definately don't want the regular bench.
I normally like things to be simple if at all possible. I suppose if that was truly the case i wouldn't have this blasted pc.
Any suggestions.

Apples and oranges.

The bucket seats are optional only on the XL "work truck" trim level, replacing the standard full bench seat. The buckets can be ordered with vinyl, knitted vinyl, or cloth upholstry. But only on the XL trim level. You cannot order the Captains Chairs in an XL. And you cannot order the bucket seats in an XLT or Lariat.

So first decide on your trim level, then we'll talk seats.

Re: What is the difference between the Capt chairs and the High back bucket seats??

I looked at a drawing of the high back buckets in a dealer book and they looked just like the captains chairs, minus the arm rest.

I wonder - do the buckets recline?

If so, I think I'll go with the buckets on my next truck which will be an XL.

Re: What is the difference between the Capt chairs and the High back bucket seats??

Well, since my wife will be driving it on occasion and it will be our travel vehicle when we have the time, we are going to go XLT
Just more electrical to have to worry about 8-10 years down the road.
I will get the carpet delete. Some have said to get the carpets but i had them in my first truck and i have carpet in my current one, experience tells me the carpet can be a pain to keep clean.

We decided to go with the split bench just so we have the 3rd seat if need be. It's to hard to stuff 5-6 folks into a midsized car.
besides i have to have my truck anyway.
