What a great truck! Thanks Sunrise Ford and some first impressions of my truck.

Well i picked up my truck last friday and i love it. Thanks to everybody that contributes to this site for all the great information. For anybody thinking about ordering one of these trucks i say do it. But order it from one of the dealers that frequent this site like Bobby William at Sunrise Ford. I can not say enough about how easy and trouble free the deal was. It has got to be the best car buying experience i have ever had. I have no problem recommending Bobby to family, friends, and anybody reading this site. How many people order a truck and end up with dealers that don't seem to understand the ordering process (incompetent or deceitful?) and leave their customers in the dark and fustrated for weeks. Definitely not Bobby. I had a VIN and a DORA a few days after i ordered and because of his open allocation (new dealership) it was a priority 10 and built in record time (4 wks and 5 days from order to delivery at dealer).

As for the prices (very competitive) they are as listed on his site. no hidden charges or expenses. Bobby was also good enough to throw in a Line-X bedliner to compensate for his price drop after I had placed my order.
I am fortunate to live within an 1 1/2 hours drive from Bobby's dealership but knowing what i now know, i would pay the extra few hundred for the drop ship if i lived out of state just for the peace of mind. you won't get jerked around or get nickled and dimed once your truck arrives.....

now for some first impressions. I love this truck! Definitely have a commanding view of the road. smooth ride. i may not get the ranchos just yet. the backup sensor is very cool. i will do some testing to see if it has any blind spots or limitations (more on this later). well it is getting late and i have said enough.....thanks again Bobby and everybody on this site.

Congrads on the new truck!!! Now you need to change your signature line

Mine seems to have arrived on the train, and now just needs to get to Cochise. And you are right, dealing with the guys that support this site has been pain free. (wish writing that check would be as painless)

Used to live just down the road from you in Sylmar. You are gonna be turning heads around town there with that new truck!!!!

Enjoy the miles you spend in it!!!!!

Juan,

Thank you for your compliments and thanks again for letting SUNRISE FORD earn your business As I have posted before, I try to make all of my customers feel at ease when making a vehicle purchase. Buying a new vehicle, especialy a superduty, is a big purchase decision (For most of us). The easier it is for the customer the easier it is for me

Enjoy that new truck and hope to see you around for service.

Re: What a great truck! Thanks Sunrise Ford and some first impressions of my truck.

Hi Jonni,
Sorry it took so long to reply. been out riding around in my new truck. just picked up the oil & filter for my first oil change (490 miles). boy that was a fast 500 miles. every mile i like my truck more. my wifes explorer feels like a little car now! can hardly wait to get up to the eastern sierras and do a little off roadin....

Oh and that reverse sensor thing is not too bad.....only works when in reverse and starts beeping at about 6 ft. gonna do some more testing to figure out its limitations when i have a chance.
