Why ?

T9C: 225/70R19.5F MAX TRACTION SBR BSW TIRES -inc: front & rear traction tires *Not recommended for on-road use

Question: Why are the Max Traction tires not recommended for on road use? Is it the tread wear, the rubber compound, The truck has a 15,000 GVWR, so are the tires not up to the task?
Thanks

Read the rest of the blurb in the Order Guide:

"...could incur irregular front tire wear and/or NVH."

Any tire with an agressive "off road" tread, even some A/T tires, will have irregular wear on the front tires way before the normal wear-out miles is achieved. Especially when driven at high speeds on pavement.

And "NVH" = noise, vibration, and harshness. Not a good thing for most people. And yes, tires with an agressive tread will have higher NVH than tires with all-season or rib tread.

Nothing you didn't already know. Ford just puts it in the order guide to warn inexperienced kids that the Max Traction tires may not be a good choice for them if they don't like NVH or premature tire wear.

Re: Why ?

When you gripe about tire wear with those tires, the "I told you so" is already in black and white.
